Set for Sept. 11, Benton County Farm Bureau will host its third Farm to Fork event in front of the Earl Park Fire Station.

Social hour starts at 6 p.m. with live entertainment, appetizers and a cash bar.  The meal will begin at 7 p.m.  All food is being prepared by Purdue’s Executive Sous Chef Heath Browning using locally produced meat, vegetables, fruit, and dairy.

The funds raised at the event have benefited local organizations each year. The 2017 event raised $6,500 for The Fowler Theatre. The 2018 event raised $10,000 for the Benton Community Food and Service Co-op.

The 2019 event will raise money to support county volunteer fire departments and Ag safety. “Supporting the volunteer firemen in our county is a perfect fit for Benton County Farm Bureau,” said Lana Wallpe, Benton County Farm Bureau President. “These men and women are our neighbors and friends, and they drop whatever they do to help us at our greatest time of need.”
