Class of 2020 commencement information has been released and Benton Central has a ceremony planned to take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7 in the Student Parking Lot at Benton Central.

According to a release by the Benton Central Administration and Graduation Committee, “We understand this is not the graduation that everyone envisioned throughout their school years. However, we are thankful for the opportunity to have a ceremony that allows the Class of 2020 to celebrate together, bid farewell to Benton Central, and commence the rest of your life.”

Each senior has been assigned a specific spot in the parking lot and issued a parking pass for one family vehicle for themselves and family members to be admitted to the ceremony.

The ceremony will be broadcast via radio.

During the diploma distribution part of the ceremony each car will be guided to the front row and then the graduate will get out of the car and make the walk to pick up their diploma.

Each senior will be allowed only one car going through to get their diploma. School officials say they regret that unfortunately there will not be room in the parking lot for other spectators to attend the ceremony.
